My methodology: Sacred Design

Sacred objects cannot be mass produced.

Mystical value cannot be commodified the way emotional value can be.

An object can only be sacred if someone chooses to be in a state where they percieve it as sacred.

Objects created within a ritual of presence will transmit that state of being even after the ritual has ended.

Sacred design allows for a deeper connection to oneself and others.

Current practice

My practice revolves around hyper presence and an exploration of the senses.

I am intrigued by the potential of design & poetry to act as a magic mirror, revealing foreign parts of ourselves. To explore this further I have established a personal methodology called Sacred Design. By using this methodology as a guide in the creative process I hope to reveal imagination as an antithesis to escapism, sensitivity an antithesis to numbness and the poetic an antithesis to the mundane.

Can we design our way to an altered state of perception?
